My name is Jimmy Hammer. I was born on August 16, 1989 which makes my 18 years old. I grew up in a town called Yucaipa. I accepted Jesus into my life when I was around 5 years old, meaning that I believe that God sent his son Jesus to earth to die for our sins, and then rose again, all so that we can live with him forever if we accept him. That might all sound a little cliche or even a little strange if you've never heard that before, but let me tell you, it's legit. Anyways, my teenage years came around and life got pretty crazy. I learned my family was moving and had many life issues that I held in for a long time. In fact I held in so much that I couldn't take it anymore, and tried to end it all. Apparently God wasn't done with me on this earth yet, and I had eventually realized that. At that point in my life my relationship with Jesus became really "personal" and I'm not saying that I live a perfect life, but with the life that I do live I strive to serve God in whatever I do. Since then I have become connected with a local church in Whittier, which is the city that I now live in. I am currently a High School intern at Whittier Area Community Church and recently returned from Australia on a Discipleship Training School through YWAM that started October 2007. It was an amazing 6 months of my life that have placed me on this track doing youth ministry back home for the time being.
My amazing family consists of a dad named Jim, a mom named JoAnn, and two older sisters named Jhen (oldest) and Jax. If you havn't noticed, all of our names start with a "J". Coincidentally, Jhen is now married to an awesome guy named Jon, who I am proud to say is now my brother-in-law, although was it really a coincidence? I would actually also like to add that there are 3 more people that I consider sisters, consisting of Talita from Brazil, Pear from Thailand, and Janna from the Phillipines.
I love music and play instruments, so far whatever I've really tried, including guitar and drums. Some of my experience in music includes leading worship at BSBC (the church I grew up at) and now WACC (the church I go to now). Of course I am a fan of video games, but because I lack the intense time, I wouldnt necessarily consider myself a "gamer". A few years of homeschool has given me a good amount of knowledge about computers, including learning HTML language, as you can see. I used to play basketball and soccer, and would consider myself above average at them when I did play, but stopped when I picked up music. I also stopped things like skating when I got tired of getting hurt. I will enjoy nearly any movie you put in front of me, considering watching movies is one of my favorite things to do. Some of my tops thought include anything epic, (Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Harry Potter, etc.), my all time favorite "You've got mai", land TV shows like the animated series of "Justice League" (love that show) and my all time favorite "Friends". Do remember though that I generally enjoy anything that I'm watching.
